 The Gulf Drug Establishment has a well endowed, elaborate and well structured Human Resources and Administration Department that meticulously adheres to international quality standards and practices. The departmental systems have been established on scientific lines and all its operations are carried out in a highly systematic and transparent manner. The HR department is also charged with the periodic training of its personnel for constantly improving and upgrading their expertise and to keep them abreast with the latest developments in their respective field of endeavor. To this end, the department has to keep itself well- informed and in touch with the best and most suitable training courses available across the globe in various fields and the way the company and its staff could gain optimum benefit from them. Another key function of the HR department is to co-ordinate with the department managers and constantly evaluate and assess the performance of its personnel and to decide on a regular basis on the promotions, increments and other benefits in keeping with the talents and dedications of every member of the staff. The department also helps members of its staff through counseling and goes the extra mile to ensure they perform to the best of their capabilities. In all, the effort of the HR department is to have a highly responsive attitude for the benefit of its personnel. This approach stems from the underlying conviction of the GDE that the strength of an organization lies in its personnel and their collective efforts and team- work. The PR section of the department helps its personnel and allied client companies in guiding and carrying out formalities related government regulations and other legal concerns.
